Healing for your Mind, Body, & Sol
A quick guide to getting started at Z Heart & Sol.
Acupuncture is a clinical therapy that uses very fine, sterile needles placed at specific points on the body. The goal is to support your nervous and circulatory systems and overall regulation so your body can heal and function better.
Acupuncture may help relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve sleep and energy. It can also support immune function and may help with digestion, menstrual concerns, and fertility, depending on your needs and care plan.
Yes, when performed by a licensed professional using sterile, single-use needles. We review your health history to ensure treatment remains appropriate for you, including pregnancy and postpartum considerations.
Most people experience little to no pain, possibly just a brief pinch or a dull, heavy, or warm sensation. Many patients also feel calm or sleepy during the procedure.
Many patients come in for women’s health support, fertility support, cycle regulation, perimenopause and menopause symptom management, stress and sleep issues, headaches, and pain management. Care is always personalized.
Your first visit includes a full intake, health history, and time to discuss your main concerns. Treatment often includes acupuncture and may include other supportive methods based on your needs. You’ll leave with clear next steps.
You’ll relax on a comfortable treatment table while your acupuncturist places very thin, sterile, single-use needles at specific points on your body. You may feel a brief pinch, warmth, heaviness, or a mild tingling sensation, but it should not be painful. Once the needles are in place, you’ll rest quietly for about 20 to 30 minutes before they are removed.
It depends on your goals, how long the issue has been present, and how your body responds. Some patients notice changes quickly, while others need a short series of visits to build steady improvement. We will recommend a plan after your first appointment.
Most appointments last about 90 minutes for the first visit and 45 to 60 minutes for follow-ups. We schedule with breathing room, so visits feel unhurried.
